To start, make sure you are sitting comfortably with your eyes shut. Place your thumb or index finger on the pressure point between the eyebrows. While you apply firm but gentle pressure in a circular motion, take some deep and slow breaths. Keep doing this for around five to 10 minutes.

Union Valley Point

Another area that you can manipulate to help with stress is the Union Valley point. This can be done alone as the spot is around in the webbing between the index finger and thumb. Take your thumb and index finger and place firm pressure on the webbing between the thumb and index finger on the opposite hand. Spend time taking deep and slow breaths while you massage this area for about four or five seconds and then switch to the other hand.

A third area you can manipulate for stress is the Great Surge point, which is found on the foot. You’ll find it below the area where the big and second toes connect. It should be around two to three finger-widths beyond the toes. You’ll know that you’ve found the right location if you feel a small hollow right above the bone.

In addition to helping with stress, it can help with anxiety, insomnia, menstrual cramps, and other types of pain. First, locate the point and then put deep, firm pressure on the area. You can massage for four or five seconds before you switch to the opposite foot.
